Join us Thursday, October 15, 2026, at 7:00 PM, as the Ocean Beach Historical Society presents Kathy Blavatt, who shows us that the Peninsula is truly a “Garden of Eden” with its perfect climate and wide variety of plant life that springs from the local soil.
Mankind has nurtured this landscape and lived on it for centuries, from Indigenous peoples to today’s population.
We are surrounded by iconic trees, exotic plants, edibles, plants from around the world, and native habitat, which have played an important role in creating a living quilt across this beautiful landscape.
Kathy Blavatt is a local historian, writer, former florist, and avid gardener.
